Biography
Chris Schmidt – Lead Guitar, Vocals
Chris Schmidt is a seasoned guitarist and vocalist who has been rocking stages for over 40 years. A lifelong musician, Chris has played in numerous bands across the East Coast and Texas, bringing powerful solos and rich vocal harmonies to every performance. His deep love for classic rock and decades of experience form the backbone of Squeaky Struts' sound.
Caitlin Schmidt – Lead Vocals, Winds
Caitlin Schmidt brings both soul and skill to the band with her dynamic vocals and multi-instrumental talent. A graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Caitlin specializes in saxophone and performs various wind instruments with Squeaky Struts. Her musical versatility and vibrant stage presence add a unique flair to the band’s performances.
Tyler Chidester – Bass Guitar, Percussion
Tyler Chidester anchors the band’s rhythm section with his steady bass grooves and percussion skills. A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tyler has played bass for three years and has a long history of playing drums and percussion since middle school. His technical mind and musical roots make him an essential part of the group’s energy and cohesion.
David Chidester – Rhythm Guitar
David Chidester brings his love for music and multi-instrumental background to Squeaky Struts. With experience on guitar, bass, piano, and drums, David focuses on rhythm guitar, helping to fill out the band’s rich, layered sound. His musical curiosity and passion shine through in every performance.
Scott Chidester – Drums
Scott Chidester drives the band’s rhythm with precision and style. A graduate of the University of North Texas with a Master’s degree in Jazz Drumming, Scott has toured with numerous bands before joining Squeaky Struts. His jazz foundation and rock-solid technique bring a dynamic groove and professional polish to the group’s live shows.
